David Cowan is a pastor, writer and theologian. He is Pastor of Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Fareham, England, Lutheran chaplain to students at Oxford University, and adjunct tutor at Westfield House, Cambridge. He is also a Member of the Board of Advisors, Regent's Park College, University of Oxford. He was formerly a Lutheran chaplain to students at Cambridge University. He has delivered lectures and addresses at Oxford, Cambridge, Princeton and Charles University, Prague, and holds a Bachelor of Theology and Master of Theology, both from the University of Oxford, and a Diploma in Ministry from Westfield House, Cambridge. He previously worked as a journalist, editor, and bank executive in Europe and North America for over twenty years, including Financial Times, Euromoney, and the World Bank Group in Washington DC. He has spoken at numerous conferences in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East on finance. He has written for the Washington Times, Financial Times, The Times of London, The Middle East and numerous financial publications. He has been interviewed by major print, television and radio media, including CNBC, Bloomberg TV, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and BBC Radio. This is his first book. He is married to Hanny, and they have two children, David and Yasmin.
